A host with a cottage on three sites keeps three calendars, answers three inboxes, sets three prices and lives in fear of the double booking. The tools that solve that, the channel managers, charge a percentage of every booking on top of what the sites take. Homebinding Host is that tool, built into the site: the calendar that every other site's calendar follows, the rates set once and pushed out, the messages in one thread per guest, the cleaning and check in tasks generated from the bookings, and the direct booking page on Homebinding where the guest pays no platform fee and the host pays no commission.
The sync works the way every platform allows it today, by calendar feed: each site publishes a calendar of its bookings and accepts one of ours, so a booking taken anywhere blocks the dates everywhere within the sites' refresh time. Where a platform offers a full connection to approved software, with rates, content and instant confirmation, Homebinding connects that way as an approved partner; that is the second stage and it is applied for, not assumed.
Move a listing from another site to Homebinding
Your own listing is your own content: your photographs, your description, your house rules. Paste the address of each listing and Homebinding builds the page from it, in the Homebinding layout, with the neighbourhood, the map and the booking record around it, and keeps the original live. A friend's listing needs the friend's say so; there is a line for that.
One calendar for every site
Choose a place, then import the calendar the other sites publish for it (every site gives you a calendar address ending .ics, or a file to download; paste its contents here) and block or open dates yourself. Export the Homebinding calendar and give its address to the other sites; from then on a booking anywhere blocks the dates everywhere.

Rates and rules
Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo connected, so nothing double books
Level one: the calendar link, live today
Every one of the big sites publishes a calendar for each listing and accepts one back. Paste theirs in above and give them Homebinding's, and a booking on any of them blocks the dates on all of them. It is the same mechanism every channel manager started with. Its weakness is timing: the other sites poll a calendar on their own schedule, so there is a window of a few hours in which two guests can book the same night on two sites. Homebinding closes that window on its own side by checking the imported calendars again the moment a guest starts to pay.
Level two: the official connections
Airbnb and Booking.com both run partner programmes that give approved software a live connection: rates, availability, bookings and messages in real time, with no polling window at all. Access is by application and review, not by signing up; Homebinding applies as soon as the calendar tier is live with real hosts on it, because a record of live listings is what the review looks for. Vrbo runs an equivalent programme. Until approval comes through the calendar link carries the load, and the record shows a host which of its channels are live and which are on the calendar.
Level three: the direct booking
The point of the exercise. A guest who books on Homebinding pays the host through a regulated payment provider with the deposit on the record, and no platform stands between them taking a percentage. The host lists on the other sites for reach and moves repeat guests and enquiries to Homebinding for margin; the calendar keeps the two honest. There is no commission on Homebinding, only the set annual fee to list.
What the commission costs a host
The builder of this site let the Belmont penthouse through Airbnb in September 2026. The booking was £9,935.00 and £1,847.92 of it went to the platform in commission and VAT, leaving £8,087.08. That is 18.6 per cent. On Homebinding the same booking would have cost the host £149.22 in card processing and nothing else, leaving £9,785.77: £1,698.69 more from one booking, with the annual listing fee already paid. Multiply that across a year of bookings and the case for a direct booking site with the calendars connected makes itself.
