What people are actually fitting, and what it is worth fitting.

Nine departments, in the order the published figures put them rather than the order anybody guessed. Solar, batteries and heat pumps first, because 369,000 of them were certified last year. Cooling second, because air conditioning enquiries rose 167 per cent. Every department says what puts it there and where the figure came from. When it opens, new and second hand sit side by side, with the condition stated and the seller named.

Second hand, properly

Trade buys and sells used constantly and does it through phone calls and a flatbed. A heat pump that came off a job, a pallet of blocks left over, a scaffold tower between projects. Listed with the condition stated, the seller named, and the price beside what the new one costs, so the saving is a fact rather than a claim.
